Founded out of unconditional love by Kittengo Alysious & Nanyonjo Noeline. We walk alongside every sickle cell warrior across Uganda through direct clinical research, community advocacy, and compassionate support.
When founders Kittengo Alysious and Nanyonjo Noeline discovered their daughter was living with sickle cell disease, they experienced the full weight of the health crisis affecting Uganda's most vulnerable populations.
Determined to change the narrative in Uganda, they established the Afya Sickle Cell Foundation. By uniting parental love with clinical expertise through partnerships with Afya Medicare, they transformed their family's pain into a comprehensive support network.
Through Afya Medicare, warriors receive routine check-ups, lab testing reviews, and personalized crisis prevention planning.
